Detroit: Become Human Has Surpassed 3 Million Copies Sold

4.1
Detroit: Become Human currently sits at 3.2 million copies sold, with the number of total players likely being a bit higher.

Following its release last spring, developer Quantic Dream has today revealed the latest sales numbers for Detroit: Become Human and they are pretty impressive.

Announced over on Twitter, Quantic Dream stated that sales for Detroit have now surpassed 3 million units in total. More specifically, according to the image that accompanied the announcement, it seems as though the current sales milestone sits at 3.2 million. While this total doesn’t reach the same heights as other notable exclusives on PS4 such as Marvel’s Spider-Man or God of War, for a narrative-driven experience, it’s actually a pretty great benchmark.

That said, the total will surely keep climbing here in the near future. Quantic Dream is set to bring Detroit: Become Human to PC at some point this fall, opening the game up to a whole new audience. As of this moment, a release date for Detroit’s arrival on PC hasn’t been given, but we likely should hear something soon.

It’s also worth noting that even though Detroit has had over 3 million sales, the number of players it has achieved is likely a bit higher. This is due to the fact that the game was a PS Plus title earlier this year in July. While those downloads wouldn’t translate to direct sales, it’s fair to assume the number of people who have played the game is higher than 3.2 million.

All in all, Quantic Dream has to be pleased with how Detroit: Become Human has performed so far. We’ll have to wait and see if this success translates to whatever project the studio might be working on next.
