After teasing it with a short trailer, Koei Tecmo revealed Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate in this week’s Famitsu magazine. Or rather, is about to reveal, as technically, Famitsu magazine didn’t release yet. Musou Orochi 3 Ultimate, as it’s known in Japan, was leaked through an Amazon shop listing.
Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate will launch in December in Japan, and probably worldwide simultaneously like the original. For now, only PS4 was listed, but seeing the original launched on Switch, Xbox One and PC as well, it’s likely this Ultimate revamp will do as well.
Warriors Orochi 4 Ultimate will include Gaia as a brand new character, and mark the return of Joan of Arc from Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate. The game will have new storylines, new side scenarios, new playable modes, and some new game systems.
To be honest this is pretty disappointing. I didn’t expect Koei Tecmo and Omega Force to make an Ultimate version this time as the original game already got tons of new elements added through DLC. I was expecting some kind of new game related to the Orochi crossovers. Not a sequel, but something actually new. Well, nevermind.
