Modern Warfare 3 Devs Not Sweating Competition

4.2
The huge success of Call of Duty franchise had an impact to the gaming market in the past few years where top video game publishers won’t release their titles in the time frame of a new Call of Duty series launch believed to prevent a “black hole” effect.

Well, that is surely not the case now.

Hit blockbuster series such as Battlefield, Gears of War and the critically acclaimed Uncharted franchise are now readying their third installment which is due for a release within the months where MW3 is going to hit the shelves.

Despite that, Robert Bowling of Infinity Ward believes that the developer is used to the ever growing competition in the market and prepared for it.

“If there’s anything we’re used to it’s competition. We’re going up against fantastic games every holiday season so this is no different than any other year. There are many great games coming out this season, but the great thing is, all those games have very different experiences that they are delivering which I think is going to be great for people this holiday as they are going to have a lot of choice and variety when they sit down and play.” he said when asked about the rivalry.

The popular features from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 such as the multiplayer mode has not yet been properly revealed by Infinity Ward although we can expect full details from the MW3 makers themselves in this September’s Call of Duty: XP Event in Los Angeles.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will go on a shooting spree in November 8th this year for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

madhawk to be honest i think if DICE and Infinityward made a FPS for online it would be one of the top sellers in the world but if you chuck in the makers of Gears of War (dontn know who makes it hehe me noob) i think it is epic games then do u think they would make a realy sweet game FPS or not?

That wouldn't work lol so there would be 3rd person quickscopers with destructible environments well thinking about it , it would be different :)

Mattty MW3 FTW

absolutly not gameplay wise bf3 will ****

The ONLY Thing better about Battlefield, is the destructible Terrain, and Scenery Graphics.
The game is **** Gameplay wise.

Wow, so now an unrealistic (in every single way)FPS series, with 4 year olds and Quickscopers makes better gameplay?
I'd look over your arguement.

Wow arguing over your opinions.. no ones gonna win here its opinions just stop.. They're going to be both great games.. both of their ups and downs. Just let it go.

ZBrush I have to say MW3 is sweating it.

All the community managers just say they are not, But we all know if BF3 does do better than MW3 (Which we all know will, apart from the people who dont have glasses) The devs will bot be making a new MW3/COD in the series.
I'm going to be buying both games, BF3 is not going to blow out COD i'm positive of that, Just because DICE had to spend millions just so people knew that battlefield was actually a popular game doesn't mean its going to do better. The name behind the game is enough to sell...look at black ops 0_o I'm not saying that Battlfield doesn't have a chance to outsell COD but its not going to be by outrageous proportions.

Can people on this site take it cool like the developers?

It's all personal preference, if you want to spend your days with whiny kids telling you how they got with your mom last night then go with cod, if you want a mature, realistic gaming environment then go with battlefield.
Completely agreed bf3 personally is better

Whisper Obviously cod is going to sell more. It is just the name, more people know cod than Battlefield. I am going to buy cod, just because I hate DICE xD.

Why do you hate DICE?

i love dice , they run alot of tests to get feedback , show alot of gameplay ALSO for feedback , and they use hotfixing
