PSA: Xbox 360 update out tomorrow, no immediate features added

Microsoft will be pushing out an update for the Xbox 360 tomorrow, according to Major Nelson, but other than the few moments you'll have to wait while your 360 downloads the patch, installs it and then restarts, the change likely won't affect you in the least. As Major Nelson says, "there are no new features that will show up once your system has been updated," as the update is simply to set up some background technology for further improvements later this year.
So that's kind of boring. We almost wish he'd gone ahead and made something up: A patch that "improved the awesomeness of your Xbox Console by an estimated 3000%" would have been much more interesting than this one.

that dash would look to full with all the stuff the xbox has to offer now it was a nice layout back in the day
true but I really miss it, I don't really care for the features they have now, like avatars and that sort of stuff. they could have added another slide for like Netflix and stuff.
can anyone tell me why this happens when i try to update, i have one of the first xbox made and i heard that the new dashboard update might not work on some, would that affect me on this update?
Looks like you have a flashed drive, or your xbox was flagged. Bad luck for you dude. Dont remove your drives if you don't know what you are doing o.o
Don't trust Major Nelson, he get's paid to lie. Plus it sounds like an update they don't want people poking around in, maybe it's something to do with that graphical enhancement they were talking about.

The only reason they got rid of the "Blade" Dash is because they were already planning for Kinect. They Started With Avatars Which Would Be Too Hard to fit into the Blade Dash. And Then it got worse and worse
