Modern Warfare 3 UK pre-orders “on track” to beat Black Ops, says GAME

Pre-orders for Modern Warfare 3 are outpacing last year’s Black Ops, according to UK retailer GAME GAME group MD Tom Devine has said that pre-orders for the Infinity Ward-Sledgehammer shooter are “significantly ahead” of the numbers pulled in from Treyarch’s effort last year.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders are already tracking significantly ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops at the same time last year,” Devine told MCV.

“We know that the Call of Duty brand and franchise has the most amazing fan-base and we’ve got some great surprises lined up for those who pre-order with us.”

The game launches on November 8 for PS3, 360 and PC.

I work for EB games as a store manager and already MW3's pre-order rate is surpassing that of Black Ops. I can only assume that at this constant rate until the official launch of MW3 that the sales will ultimately beat that of Black Ops.

But then again, The sales of Battlefield 3 is surpassing that of MW2!

I can't wait until November.

Im not really bothered about this one,

Nearly every single one has been based entirely on hype and the previously good game they made.

Im just glad to finally hear they are working from there best game and adding improvements 'COD4'.

this will happen in the UK not the US the only reason why black ops is the number 1 selling game of all time is cuz of other countries not us

All I have to say is screw Treyarch and their series, it's all about the MW series. I am actually sad that I got Black Ops for christmas.

No hes right, MW2 failed since the begining. I sold it 3 months after i got it for christmas. I bought it again and then sold it a month later. And how are you saying WaW was bad? There was nothing wrong with it. Do you hate it because there are alot of rifles that you hate to use because you cant shoot them fast? Black ops is ok, but it was a total failuar having guns way stronger than most guns that have stopping power in mw2. And the reason why they have more sales is because there is a british faction in mw3 lol.

No matter how badly CoD fails (For example; Black Ops), people continue to pre-order the next CoD... but as the fail increments as do the pre-orders... It makes no sense.
