Modern Warfare 3 UK pre-orders “on track” to beat Black Ops, says GAME

Pre-orders for Modern Warfare 3 are outpacing last year’s Black Ops, according to UK retailer GAME GAME group MD Tom Devine has said that pre-orders for the Infinity Ward-Sledgehammer shooter are “significantly ahead” of the numbers pulled in from Treyarch’s effort last year.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 pre-orders are already tracking significantly ahead of Call of Duty: Black Ops at the same time last year,” Devine told MCV.

“We know that the Call of Duty brand and franchise has the most amazing fan-base and we’ve got some great surprises lined up for those who pre-order with us.”

The game launches on November 8 for PS3, 360 and PC.

Just because a game outsells another game doesn't mean it's better. It doesn't even mean it' a good game. There have been plenty of scenarios where a game that no one expected to do well, succeeded. As well as there have been games that we're top sellers, but they had terrible reviews afterwards.

It's safe to say CoD is losing it's touch. Once you whore a game to get a new one every year, it get really tiring and really old, real fast.

Activision should have picked one company to make the game so it came out on the standard 3 years after each game. That way developers could have enough time to make actual improvements and additions to the game. As well as make a proper campaign.

Yea, but I think the most interesting bit is "we've got some great surprises lined up for those who pre-order with us." I hope it's something really good, not like exclusive weapons, something better I hope.

Mw2 was one of the years best sellers, I personally think it has its ups and downs but if you say MW2 is sucky then don't bother getting MW3 bcuz they will most likely be the same

No hes right, MW2 failed since the begining. I sold it 3 months after i got it for christmas. I bought it again and then sold it a month later. And how are you saying WaW was bad? There was nothing wrong with it. Do you hate it because there are alot of rifles that you hate to use because you cant shoot them fast? Black ops is ok, but it was a total failuar having guns way stronger than most guns that have stopping power in mw2. And the reason why they have more sales is because there is a british faction in mw3 lol.
Oh yes, WaW is definitely balanced. Tanks that take 3 rockets and a sticky to destroy, MP40 noobs running around like f*cking c*nts. Yep, really balanced.

Tanks are strong, and people run around with umps like *****.

because the next call of duty always promises new and better things and when you get the game it's a big disappointment that's why I hate CoD
