Quick Quotes: Treyarch has nothing to do with map pack pricing

4.1
“You know, we’re on the development side, so we don’t really have much to do with the business aspect of it, but we just strive to give players the most value that we can possibly give. If you look at how many hours – in some cases, hundreds of hours – for some players of entertainment they get, I think it’s an incredible value. We’ve had three DLC map packs for the fans within about six to seven months of launch, which is a record for us. I think it’s incredible, and everyone’s really excited about the fact that we can support a game for that long and keep the fans interested.” – Black Ops multiplayer lead Dan Bunting to Gama on why map packs run 1200 MSP each.

They think its an achievement to keep people interested in their game for 6 months?! That is super pathetic! Look at games like Team Fortress 2, that came out 4 years ago and its still popular and Valve is still supporting it.
Treyarch = Fail

xSTaTiCBLuEx Reasonably priced my arse! In Battlefield Bad Company 2 you can buy a whle new massive section of he game for like 4.50 Which im saying is around 500 MSP.

I like COD and Battlefield, but DICE are making less sales even though still many, and they are even then putting their map packs out at a reasonable price. Thank god we at least have a few 'fair' developers and publishers in the world =D

Bad game cheap dlc nuff said

They should be 10$, all I'm saying. Still get a load of money. Maybe even more since people knows its gonna be cheaper.

This is true

That's nice, but still doesn't make it any easier for the gamers that fork out the cash just so they can play the same maps as their friends.

With any luck the new premium Elite service will make map packs better value for money. Time will tell.

I already knew it was Activisions fault

They say there keeping us fans interested.... HAHAH, My ass, that game is so dull and boring now, the only reason I buy map packs is for the zombies, and I really wish they'll make a zombie map pack instead of the multiplayer map packs,

All of the companies have a say in the pricing -_- Treyarch can CLAIM that they have nothing to do with the pricing but that's a lie and we all know it.

If the map packs were 800 points then I would gladly buy them but I don't have $20 to put down on the table every other month just because some company wants to get greedy.

This is why we have modders, hackers, and thieves in this world.

Ya, its all Activision's fault. Duhhhhh!
