Destiny 2’s Next Update Looks to Be Multiplayer Focused

4.4
Destiny 2‘s upcoming patch, Update 1.1.4, will be making a number of changes to the Iron Banner, as well as adding some modes to a weekly rotating playlist.

From a post on Bungie.net, the Iron Banner will be going back to its roots with some “old-school” implementations. One of the biggest tweaks is the increase in team size, from 4v4 to 6v6. Here is the full list of changes coming to the limited-time Crucible event:

Match time limit is 12 minutes
Score limit is 125 points
Respawn time is 7 seconds
All control zones start off neutral
Control zones take slightly longer to capture by default
Additional Guardians (max of 3) in a zone increases capture speed
Guardians participating in a capture get more Super energy

However, you will not have to wait to play Iron Banner. The mode will make its return featuring the Clash game type from Tuesday, March 6th to Tuesday, March 13th. The progress of any challenge you did not finish the last event will carry over.

Rumble will make its return with a few changes. You will no longer receive points for assists; you will only garner one point per kill. The player count will also be increased to eight. Additionally, Mayhem will also return unscathed.

All three of these modes will now be added to a rotating “Weekly Featured playlist” that will be found on the Crucible Director page.

Lastly, the Doubles mode from the Crimson Days event is being reworked to give it more “polish and flexibility.” Once the mode is set to launch, it will be added to the Weekly Featured playlist along with the aforementioned modes.

The post also addresses the spawning issues occurring during raids, as well as the problems that have made its way into the game with the release of Update 1.1.3.

Destiny 2 and its first expansion, Curse of Osiris, is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

Mickers A good way to go as i never really bother with single player in games.

The singleplayer in this game is probably a better choice over Crucible. Everyone just leaves, terrible team matchmaking, etc.

They havent focused much on multiplayer since the game was released. Really hoping we can get newer maps even without a DLC drop since its boring playing the same old maps.

Xbox Surprised people still play this game.

That's what I was also thinking I thought they would drop news on us with a Destiny 3 release.

Ninja From what I've heard, it seems that it's 100% needed, haven't really bothered with D2 for about 3 months now.

I don't think anyone has, I personally haven't played it in months. The PVP side was too broken for me to enjoy so i just didn't bother.
