MLB The Show 18 Gets Its Very First Trailer

One of the most consistently good franchises as far as sports games go is Sony San Diego’s MLB The Show. The games are almost always good, and they don’t have much of the microtransaction plagued modes that so many other popular sports games generally have.

This year’s entry, MLB The Show 18, launches in March; ahead of that release, Sony have dropped the very first trailer for the game, which you can see for yourself below. The trailer actually doesn’t show us much of the game at all- minimal gameplay footage, and not much in the way of what to expect from the new game, instead focusing on cuts of players’ best hits and stops, and of cover athlete Aaron Judge. Hopefully, there will be a new trailer that shows off more gameplay footage soon (though I have to imagine the game isn’t too different from last year’s).

MLB The Show 18 is due out on March 27 exclusively for PS4.

Mikey Must say, they have done a fantastic job with the graphic's. I for one will be buying this game.


I have a feeling a game like this would get boring too fast. I guess it's the hardcore baseball fans who will buy.


Never been a fan of MLB, so I am going to have to agree with you there.

Cleetus They should really add something new to spice the new MLBs up

I am not sure if they have this in the game, but a career mode like madden 18 added with longshot or how 2k has mycareer that would be pretty cool. Or like a gauntlet like madden has.


Not a fan of MBL, not sure what this news is?

Usually they just upgrade the graphics, add a few more teams, add in some settings, etc, and call it a day. But hopefully they can get in some new features or something to get this game not like the others. Still a great game series though.

One of the most under-rated sports games. Played 17 and loved it. Might consider picking this one up!

Same. I played one time way back in the day. I agree as well. The graphics look absolutely amazing.


ive only played 16, never bought 17 since I never found any interest in the game but ill probably give it another try and buy 18.
