All Xbox Live Gold members can download and play Firaxis Games’ XCOM 2 for free as part of Microsoft’s Xbox Live Gold Free Play Days program.

The game will be free to play from 9 a.m. PT today, October 26th, through October 29th on Xbox One.

As well as this, for the next week, the game and its Digital Deluxe Edition will be available at a 60 percent discount from the Xbox Store, for players who wish to continue playing after the free weekend. All progress made and achievements earned during the free weekend can be carried over to the full game.

In other news, developer Firaxis Games recently released a new update for XCOM 2‘s War of the Chosen expansion that made changes to gameplay, fixed a number of bugs, and introduced several optimizations.

XCOM 2 and its War of the Chosen expansion are available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
