CoD: WWII “Right Game at the Right Time” According to Activision

4.4
During Activision’s quarterly financial conference call, Chief Executive Officer Eric Hirshberg talked about the publisher’s outlook for Call of Duty: WWII.

Hirshberg explained that the trends for the game are “really good.”

Activision feels that they “have the right game at the right time.” Those who have played are pleased by the return to “boots on the ground” and to human scale, authentic military context. It’s a “welcome change” and “very well timed.”

The content that has been demoed had a “really positive” response from fans and critics. The reveal trailer was the most liked video in Call of Duty history, and has the most organic views of any COD reveal trailer ever. The hands-on multiplayer at E3 was “well received” and the Zombie trailer revealed at San Diego Comic Con has been the most liked Zombie trailer ever.

Call of Duty: WWII will release for PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 3rd. A PS4 beta will start on August 25th, with Xbox One joining on September 1st.

Hi Of course it's the right game at the right time. The CoD community (that didn't abandon the series) has been getting tired of all the flying and P2W games that have recently been released. This game should get them back on the right track.

It isn't really P2W unless you're someone who casually picks up a controller to play a quick game. The difficulty curve is much steeper on BO3 and IW for example than MW2 would be. Since people already see the games in a negative light, this curve throws a lot of people off.

Don't get me wrong, there is an advantage if you pay, but it's only slight, not to mention you can unlock everything with some work. If you gain some skill, that difference is negligible. It's when you have the skill and the slight advantage that makes people quit.

I'm really looking forward to this, I hope they make it as realistic as possible and don't add in any bs.

To be honest I play call of duty but ever since MW2 I haven't been as addicted it looks like a great game and the hype is cool but I think it will be the same as it has the past few years.

Just goes to show you have crazy the hype is "The reveal trailer was the most liked video in Call of Duty history"
Nuff said, the game is going to be epic, zombies, on the other hand, is just going to be stupidly insane.
