While most Star Wars-related multimedia franchises have been thriving as of late, DICE and EA’s Star Wars Battlefront was met with heavy criticism upon its launch and failed to live up to the lofty expectations many gamers had for it. That’s largely the reason why, before E3 2017, fans had been relatively indifferent towards the idea of Star Wars Battlefront 2.

Whatever apathy might have lingered amongst players of the original title from DICE and EA, however, has almost certainly evaporated now. The Star Wars Battlefront 2 behind-the-scenes footage from E3 2017 was a massive hit, and the game’s official gameplay trailer had been immensely popular over the course of E3, even though it was uploaded several days after other major game trailers. Now, YouTube’s analytics department – and a quick glance at video view counts – has revealed that Star Wars Battlefront 2‘s trailer was the most watched of E3 2017 by a landslide.
