Sledgehammer Adding WWII Weapons to Advanced Warfare Every Weekend Until E3

If you’re still playing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare and are looking forward to its developer’s next title, then here’s some good news. Sledgehammer Games has announced that it’ll be adding “classic” World War II weapons to its 2014 game each weekend until E3 2017 in order to give players a taste of what’s coming. The studio has already added the STG44, which was made available last night.


While we’ve been given some details about WWII‘s multiplayer, a reveal is scheduled for June’s event. Sledgehammer recently said that it’ll feature female characters and some “really unique” map designs that take advantage of World War II weapons.

E3 takes place between June 13 and 15 this year and Call of Duty: WWII is scheduled for release on November 3 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

OMV They just somehow find ways to ruin a game even more, Weapons dont suit the theme and I see it as a way to get players on AW again just because they know the playerbase wants WWII

I'm a bit speechless at this move. Talk about them wanting devs with a passion for what they make, then they (I'm assuming this was a corporate move) throw this into their game. It's like saying f it maybe this will get people playing more.

And I do not own IW, game shared to get MWR so I COULD care less, but knowing I may play cod again in the future it's things like this that piss me off. If for some reason I owned and were truly excited about IW, I'd hate to see WW2 weapons going around. Takes the authenticity out of it.
