Nintendo Switch games can apparently be portable-only

4.6
A new game is coming to the Switch, and it can only be played while the console is in portable mode.

Called Voez, the Japanese rhythm game has no button prompts and requires the players to use the touchscreen at all times. This means that players will only be able to use the game while the Switch is undocked—a first for the system.

Before this, Nintendo had never confirmed whether or not games would need to work on both the big screen in docked mode and on the smaller screen in portable mode. Voez could open up the door to more varieties of games, such as 3DS sequels that would require a touchscreen to work. The inverse could also be true, with certain games working only while the Switch is docked, though there’s no proof of this yet.

Voez is a mobile game, so this could pave the path forwards for other mobile and tablet-oriented games to make their way onto the Switch’s tablet-like form. We’ll have to wait and see what new game types emerge to work with both aspects of the Switch.

That sounds cool to be honest, but that takes away the point of the "switch", where I'd want to play in bed for a bit, then get out of bed and connect to TV.
