Nintendo Responds To Criticism, Lowers Switch Game Prices In UK

The one big problem with the Nintendo Switch, the biggest problem with it, is the pricing– and I don’t just mean pricing in terms of the base console, which is something that can still be defended as pricing for a high end gaming handheld. No, the bigger issue is the pricing for everything else- the accessories are priced way too high for what they are, Nintendo are charging for online, and in the UK, they had overpriced even the games.

However, for the latter part, it appears as though Nintendo have responded to the criticism, and decided to price games in the UK down to something slightly more reasonable. After first pricing down Zelda, Nintendo have now reduced the pricing of several other first party games, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, 1-2 Switch, and ARMS to £44.99, £34.99, and £49.99 respectively, which is a lot more reasonable.

Hopefully, Nintendo continues to be receptive, and can readjust the pricing on their products in line to market expectations.

Yeah they should be lowering prices world wide, they are over charging overpriced on just about everything.

Snow Well good for the UK. What about the US?

If you use a conversion site, the ''drop price'' probably works out more than what it does in dollars. We always get f****d in the UK, example: Batman Arkham knight was $10 on xbox sale, for UK thats about £8 but our pricing was £29.99. Same with alot of games and not just on sale.

Damn that really sucks. Still feel like it should be equal though for a console.

With the current price of the console, they should honestly through in a few games or an extra controller or something like that. The price of the console alone is way too high.

For a price like this, They should definitely include accessories for this console. A lot of people probably would not have a problem buying this if they could get accessories with it too!

Not only should ALL GAME prices be lowered, but the handheld device itself should be as well. There is no way in hell I am paying that much for a device like that.
