Nintendo Responds To Criticism, Lowers Switch Game Prices In UK

4.8
The one big problem with the Nintendo Switch, the biggest problem with it, is the pricing– and I don’t just mean pricing in terms of the base console, which is something that can still be defended as pricing for a high end gaming handheld. No, the bigger issue is the pricing for everything else- the accessories are priced way too high for what they are, Nintendo are charging for online, and in the UK, they had overpriced even the games.

However, for the latter part, it appears as though Nintendo have responded to the criticism, and decided to price games in the UK down to something slightly more reasonable. After first pricing down Zelda, Nintendo have now reduced the pricing of several other first party games, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, 1-2 Switch, and ARMS to £44.99, £34.99, and £49.99 respectively, which is a lot more reasonable.

Hopefully, Nintendo continues to be receptive, and can readjust the pricing on their products in line to market expectations.

I've never been big into Nintendo, but I have to say, what's up with the buttons? It's like they looked at other controllers and thought "Let's spin the buttons around as if it were mirrored, oh and turn them sideways too" It seems like they've never been one for great ideas lol

Yeah I couldn't believe it when I went on GAME to see Mario Odyssey and Skyrim for £60 each, I thought it was a mistake in till I saw the other game prices as well. It should be the same world wide..........but looks like GAME didn't get the memo as they are still charging those prices, but yeah it needs to be lowered still, the UK prices were definitely way higher than everyone else.
