Bowd wrote New question - Anybody know why the matrix glitch chips blue light would just stay on and not flicker like it should.?

the console doesnt boot like this either.

wrong timing file or didn't load the timing file or bad chip

yeah so far ive only had luck with 2 chips the other 2 failed and now this one. might retry timing file and check over my solder

- might of been my pll point that was causing that. but definetly something wrong with these matrix chips i have bought . this ones not booting either

always post pics of your install so you can have others look it over easiest way to find an issue that your having or pics of jrunner when programming
and list timing files your using

im now doing a 512mb jasper , and i have error 250 reading block 178 am i right in thinking this wont cause issues because it not being within the first 50 blocks. so when i write the xebuild image and new nand it will be fine?

Jrunner should automatically remap bad blocks aslong as bands are the same maybe do an extra couple to be sure they are the same it should be fine and try fixing some points like post and or cpu rst

So i got hold of some coolrunners.
whats the best timing file every else uses for these?
and is there anything you should solder on the chip for it to work, because i got another one , a jasper 512mb not booting xell.

i think i must be doing something wrong, i can upload photos of my soldering, but its really not needed, all the joints are solid in place and touching.

im using timing file 18 and 21 but no boot.

is it true i can try and boot it on slim setting and not phat, maybe that could help apart from that i have no ideas left. thought it could be my solder but there is no difference in the joints to how they look when i get a good one that boots.

update: i used kynar really thin wire for cpu rst not the wire that came with it . does that cause these issues?
it actually says to use shielded cable not sure what it means by that

the chips allso maybe not be genuine i bought them from ebay, and they didnt come in a cool runner box.

i allso read If your console is ,updated past dash 14699 then it is RGH 2
If you are pre 14699 then RGH 1
i didnt check the dash so dont know if thats my problem
