IMO, they are only good for getting collectors editions of games, like when TONY HAWK drops, the collectors edition comes with a sweet deck, I would go there for it as they always have stuff like that.

Completely agree. Will be interesting to see if and how it is completely integrated between platforms, i.e. joining a Xbox party via PlayStation. Or if they just keep it within games.


I don't think we'll see anything like an Xbox gamer being able to join someone in a call/party on PlayStation, just because those chat rooms are handled through different servers and a whole bunch of other steps in-between the two, instead, I wouldn't doubt if something like Discord/Skype gets fully implemented where you could have a group call with friends or a server. If they're able to get latched onto one of those servers, then I don't think there would be any issue in terms of quality as long as your internet is stable as it would just be say Discord/Skype running in the background of your console whilst talking with whomever.


Skype on Xbox One was a pretty big deal on release, everyone thought it was amazing for the console but too bad Skype is primarily used for businesses now, so I feel like the day Discord gets implemented console wise then the need for party chats is completely gone.

Quite possible, since they have a partnership deal with Sony, and there hasn't been a reveal with it yet, but I wouldn't get your hopes up as Activision or Treyarch would be more likely to post a teaser/reveal.

Microsoft have already gone with a disc-less Xbox One S with their all digital console, in the future where discs become much more impractical we are for sure going to see digital content take over, as it's already starting to.

Who knows, Sony could take that path in the future also.

Thats what i was thinking was the discless xbox one x but thats also because xbox has been heavily heading towards cloud type gaming were it can all be connected so who knows if it would just be one console doing that or the whole console world.

It looked pretty sick tbh, I think it's only $99 as well for that edition. May look into buying it. Hopefully it will be on ps5
