May you should combine both in one. The writing could be the tree bole.

Both look awesome but I personal don't like writing tattoos on my body.

But if you only want one and not combined i would took the tree

Does it matter to me? No, I'll never meet him and that's why I said that he can do what he wants.

It's much easier to just spend two seconds on a short reply and recommend one of the tattoos, but the reality is that OP is going to face prejudice from people because the tattoo is blatantly referring to depression and it's on his forearm.

For anyone who lives under a rock, the majority of forearm tattoos are done to cover up self harm scars. Most of them are done in a way that you wouldn't even realise that the person has ever self harmed. You don't, get a tattoo on your forearm about depression. Period.

The whole idea of beating depression is moving on. Finding something that makes you want to get up everyday, getting over something and overall enjoying what you do. You cannot possibly move on with depression when it's tattooed down your arm. It's something that has negatively effected you and it's on your skin for life, you're giving it way too much power.

If the tattoo means that much to you OP, get it on your chest. Only people close to you will ever see it and it'll be close to your heart. Then get something different on your forearm.
