Anyways, I completely understand what you mean. I've actually experienced this myself and I didn't really take any offense or anything to it, just found it disrespectful. Not going to say it's just Americans or just British people because it's not one specific set of people, we all come across some disrespectful people every now and then and there isn't much we can do, but ignore them. I watched a video months ago and there was something said that has stuck with me ever since. It was something like "If someone makes fun of you for something, there isn't anything wrong with you. There's something wrong with them for thinking that putting someone else down for personal pleasure is okay." That's stuck with me since the day I watched that video and it's been months since I first watched it. Every time I came across people like this whether it be in person or online, I just think of this and let it go. If you stoop down to their level, you'll only make it worse. Be the mature one in the situation and just ignore it and don't let it get to you.

You know what triggered me the most to even make this rant is that I was literally just chilling, being nice and respectful I was just like "hey, you alright" and they started mocking my accent like ffs come on man lol and it's just so cringe when they try mocking a British accent and listing off British stereotypes like tea and crumpets like what does that even have to do with the conversation
