Some years ago i was about 8-9 me and my cousin were climbing a tree to build a tree house. We climbed all the way to the top but the branch snapped and my cousin fell from the top of this enormous tree hit nearly every branch on the way down and landed head first on the roots that were unearthed.

10 years ago and I still remember it. They said if he hadn't of hit the branched he would have been dead. The branches slowed his fall.

After that I've been afraid of heights ever since

That's crazy and easily something that'd change your outlook on life in the long run. Glad all is ok
