Just wondering, has any of you had a bad experience that has changed your life forever in any way at all?

I tried a legal high a year or two ago (big mistake) because I thought that it being legal, it wouldn't harm me. But I couldn't have been more wrong. I passed out in a matter of minutes, fell straight back on my head and cracked it open. Had around 7 seizures before the ambulance turned up and I was told I was lucky they were called so quick as if they came just a couple of minutes later, I would have been dead. It's changed my life mentally forever, making me a lot more paranoid of everyday tasks I do, lots of headaches and generally everyday stress thinking about that day. The high I took was called "Spice" and many of you have probably heard of it, it's killed a lot of people in the last year or two.

What about you guys, if you have had a bad experience?

Very glad you didn't die <3 and I'm sorry to hear it. What made me realize how precious life can be. I was leaning back in a chair and cracked my head open on a brick and it wasn't very fun and I've never been in so much pain.

One experience that changed my life?

When i was about 17 i first moved to Texas the year before, didn't know anyone and was still in Highschool. I started hanging around with the wrong crowd, i ended up joining this group which i later found out was an Aryan Brotherhood group, for those who don't know. It's a white hate group(which i didn't know) I knew it was a small gang but didn't know exactly the extent of it as i just wanted to fit in

One night me and 3 others kids had to prove ourselves and i didn't know what they mean't by that but i went along for the most part. We arrived at this block that was full of African American gangs. I was in the backseat of an SUV and some person in the front seat handed a loaded handgun to the person next to me and told him to "do what it takes"

At that moment i knew i had to stop this and didn't want to be a part of this, I jumped out of the SUV and ran into an ally way behind some houses and kept running. I went right to the police and the next day they arrested all three of them. I don't know if the kid ever pulled the trigger but i knew that wasn't who i was.

2 weeks after i graduated i left for the Army, i knew if i didn't do something with my life i'd be either dead or in jail.

And today i have a wife, daughter and i am a police officer. I'd say that was a life changing experience for me..

Thanks that sounds nasty. I'm an anti-drug kind of person, I hate that kind of thing, but I didn't really think anything of it at the time. But it's definitely as you said made me realize exactly how precious life is and that stupid things like that isn't worth your life.

That's crazy, I'm glad you realized that it's not something you would do and that you've managed to come so far after that.

I used to think nothing of life. Had bad depression. Then I realized life has terrible ways and it could be over at any time. So I started caring and now I try to help others that aren't happy.

I know mate, I'm so thankful and it's made me realize it isn't worth it. They've banned them now and strict rules have been put in place. It's not working because I can still see news articles about kids who have died taking it, which is why I think I'm so lucky. I even posted the full story to Talk to Frank to spread awareness.

Mines simple but still affects me.

Some years ago i was about 8-9 me and my cousin were climbing a tree to build a tree house. We climbed all the way to the top but the branch snapped and my cousin fell from the top of this enormous tree hit nearly every branch on the way down and landed head first on the roots that were unearthed.

10 years ago and I still remember it. They said if he hadn't of hit the branched he would have been dead. The branches slowed his fall.

After that I've been afraid of heights ever since
