Is it just me who thinks this, that when your in school or college within your education. Do you not feel they teach you what they want to teach you? Instead of teaching you what you actually need to know.

I want to hear your opinons!

Can agree. When I was in school I learnt about WW2 in year 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. Didn't learn anything Jew after the first two year of doing WW2. I do feel like school/collage teach what they want.

Alot of people agree with this, they teach you pythagorean theorem but not how mortgages work. (Well with me anyways)

You cant judge a fish on his ability to climb a tree.

When i was in school i was good with my hands, aced all exams in engineering and construction. Finished first and moved on to help others in the class with their projects. But when it came to maths and such i wasn't that good.

You only learn about what you're interested in.

They don't teach reality, that's the problem.

This is true, but why do I need to know about world war two and so on, in all respetcs its intresting, but that's not real life problems? Like how to handle your money, taxes. Its not reality..

They need to tell you about money management, house morgages, mental psychology etc.

Even if it's basic because I left school with not knowing any of that but I did know Pythagoras. :/

I thought the same back in school, all that stuff in maths they teach you, unless you're becoming either a maths teacher or an architect, you will never use in your life.

Instead I think they should teach more life lessons like my school had Business Studies, it was quite limited but still one of the most vital lessons I took as I was taught a lot about being your own boss and all about economy/taxes which would all help with going into jobs, and progressing with your own life.

It may all seem pointless learning but without it all, you will have slim chances of doing something you love in life. People take their education for granted, it is probably one of the most important things you will do in your life.
