Ok that was a typo, but still £150 for a mobo in this budget is ridiculous. My GPU is way better and I have a better case and SSD.

There is an SSD included. 128GB SSD for the OS and the 2TB HDD for the storage. Sorry but nobody asked you about your GPU or your case, this thread is about the OP asking for a build.

Shiv wrote £1089. Bit more than the budget however you're getting a solid build. High performance CPU & GPU, enough memory for all your game dev needs!

Edit: You could probably get away with downgrading the GPU if the cost is too much however I recommend keeping the i7 4790K as they CPU is a beast

Probably is a great build, I know nothing about parts lol, not sure if I will stretch by budget that far over tho. :/

Will you be doing heavy game development? The build can probs handle any Unity dev. if its just light games then I can make it fit the budget! I'll change up the GPU and post an update.

I cant myself doing any heavy development.

Downgraded CPU to high end i5 and downgraded GPU to mid level, upgraded cpu cooler just incase

£858

Don't buy this, the CPU is unlocked meaning it makes no sense to pay for a Z motherboard, and £150 too. The GPU will most likely bottleneck the CPU.

Get something like this I'd say : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

An I7 would be ideal but not a necessity. What mouse hand do you use may I ask?

Right handed.

£200 over budget is not a "Bit more" at all, it's significantly more. You've gone almost 25% over budget, that's ridiculous. It's also not even a "solid" build. 3 generation old CPU? Stupid. Terrible cooler. Last gen GPU makes zero sense. Extremely low quality case and PSU, neither of which belong in this sort of system at all. You've also included cheap shit peripherals.

Locked CPU on a Z series chipset motherboard? Makes no sense. Also that's not an "upgraded" CPU cooler at all. It's the exact same cooler with a different fan. Regardless, upgrading the cooler(if you did) for a lower end, locked i5 would be ridiculously stupid and illogical. You're kidding with the GTX 1050, right?

Shiv wrote CPU unlocked = overclockable. That GPU will definitely not bottle neck the CPU, you must be crazy if you think that. A i7 would bottle neck that GPU straight up!

Yeah but the CPU you suggested is locked so his point is still valid. A GTX 1050 won't bottleneck an i5, but the GTX 1050 would be the bottleneck in the system as that would be holding it back.

iFallOffStuff wrote My GPU is way better and I have a better case and SSD.

Gigabyte's AMD cards are sketchy IMO, especially the 480's. Also you are joshing with a 350W PSU and an RX 480, right?

He never said you didn't include an SSD, he said he included a better one, which he did, since the SSD you suggested is sub par quality and 120GB(not 128) is laughable. Actually OP pretty much asked about 'his' case and GPU. You're right, this thread is about OP getting a build, that's why we're pointing out that what you suggested would be a very poor choice for him, unless he wants to waste his money.

You can pick up a cheap kb for now if you want. I'd get this though;

i5 will be fine for workstation type stuff, and the RX 470 will let you play any games or anything you decide on. I included a nice ultrawide monitor and a nice little RGB mouse for you. Stock cooler will do for now, but add a cheap cooler like the Be Quiet! Pure Rock Slim when you can, it'll be a nice addition for better temps and less noise. It'll also improve aesthetics a good bit.
