Yin wrote I was a Bernie guy. I really liked the man and still do. Considering what Trump himself has said throughout this thing, I have to lean towards Clinton since Bernie is no longer a choice. I don't like having to make that choice since I am not a fan of her, but that is where we currently are.

Sanders dropped out of the race, but you can still write him in... He's a terrible choice though.

Yea, he would be a terrible choice considering it would be virtually impossible for him to win at this point.

I used to be quite far left on the political spectrum but now that the left has been pushed so far as to include safe spaces and censorship of controversial opinions I'm more centrist.
I agree with the right on a lot of things regarding freedom of speech but still fall on the left.

I'm not from the US and recently snapped to the realization that Europeans need to stop focusing so intently on the US election when we have so many important elections coming up ourselves.
Given that the only real policy issue which will majorly effect me from the US election is foreign policy, more importantly what will be done about ISIS, I feel Hillary Clinton is the better pick.

Yes, she is a corporate sellout and will probably be sick for the majority of the time she is in office, but she isn't going to be purposefully bombing the family members of ISIS or torturing people even if it doesn't work, like Donald Trump has said he will.
Collateral damage being demonstrably linked with extremist recruitment, killing innocent people purposefully is not the best idea, and will only increase the refugee crisis in Europe.

I also don't think that the US media is doing a very good job conveying information to the public.

For example, Donald Trump recently misspoke when talking about veterans with PTSD. He, obviously not intentionally, implied that veterans with PTSD who commit suicide were not strong people.
This blew up in the media and many Trump supporters rightly rationalized it away as, "He misspoke, move on."
But almost no media outlets focused on the real issue with what he said.

The question put to him was, "When you become president, will you support and fund a more holistic approach to solve the problems of veteran PTSD and will you take steps to restore the historic role of our chaplins and the importance of spiritual fitness and spiritual programme's?"

He answered, "Yes, I would."

The Government can't fund religious programme's.
Either Donald Trump doesn't know that this is unconstitutional or he does know and lied to a room full of veterans.

But as per usual when it comes to Donald Trump the media went with politically correct outrage rather than showing people that he doesn't know what he is talking about policy-wise.
They do this with Hillary Clinton too and let her get away with saying almost anything.

She wants Bernie supporters to come over to her side now but back in February she was recorded saying, "Some [Bernie supporters] are new to politics completely, they are children of the recession living in their parents basements. They feel that they got their education, and the jobs that are available to them are not at all what they envisioned for themselves and they don't see much of a future. They want to feel like they can be part of a political revolution but those of us who have worked in this know that it is a false promise. I don't think you tell idealistic people, especially young people, that they've bought into falsehoods. They want free college and free healthcare but I don't want to make false promises."

There has been nothing about this in the mainstream media. This is what Hillary Clinton thinks of the Bernie supporters that she is just assuming will now jump to her side.
Obviously this is disconcerting to hear. Imagine if Donald Trump said, "We can try to keep out the illegal refugees, but I don't want to make false promises and it's probably not going to happen."
Donald Trump at least understands that if you shoot for the stars you might reach the Moon and that is what people want in a political candidate.

Hillary Clinton is extremely mediocre and dull, but like I said, when it comes to foreign policy I think she is much better than Donald Trump.

I am voting for Donald trump. This country is in need of a financial overhaul, and who better to do that than an entrepreneur? We need more people like him in politics and less actual politicians

Forgive me for being annoying, but i'm banned from /r/politics until October 11th and the current political discussion sticky is dead, so how about some normal political discourse.

Can I ask why you think a financial overhaul is needed? The amount of people applying for unemployment is at a 40-year low.
