Looks to be though the picture is slightly blurry. Just see if when it's on if the HDD is spinning by listening for the sound or feeling the drive if it's vibrating. If it's not then you either have a bad drive (most likely) or a bad SATA power cable (less likely) the SATA power cable is the wider of the two cable connected to your drive

HDD is spinning alright. Just to rule it out try another SATA data cable. Plug your SATA data into a different port on your motherboard to rule out its not a bad port. If none of that does it, check In your bios; does it show an HDD at all? Not asking if it boots, just whether the motherboard detects a drive is present.

Those are just the boot options, it doesn't tell you whether the drive is detected or not. You have to search through your BIOS and look for something that shows all of the current attached SATA devices. For example if you have a DVD drive and 1 HDD, it may say something like P1: (brand and model number of HDD here) and P2: (brand and model number of DVD drive here)

It doesn't seem to say it anywhere. I get this when I try to boot in NVIDIA though

Okay well that answers the question in an indirect way. If it cannot boot to the HDD due to "failure", the best thing to do is to verify the disk is actually failing. Using another computer, you'll need to burn any software that can do HDD diagnostics via bootable USB. A good option is Hiren's boot found [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] You should read [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] for detailed step by step instructions. Hirens also has software that you can use to test other components of your system, such as RAM, etc.

It's set to boot into your CD drive, try removing the connection to your CD drive and see what message comes up.

XeGlitch let me know if you mananged to get it to work or if the diagnostics found the drive to be failing.
