I used to be on jsa when I was 18 -19 but they just make you more depressed so I don't sign on anymore

Because they make you search harder and actively help you find work, yup depressing
I know where you are coming from as I found them a complete ball ache but looking back it helped. That few extra pound in your pocket every 2 weeks for simply looking for jobs and making an appointment to see how work search is going actually helps.

If you are not willing to do it then you are pro actively making things harder for yourself.

So rise above that.
You have to understand they have hunreds of people a day to deal with, that sadly includes the people that dont want to work and simply find it as a way to get money for Lidl's best cider.

Give it another go if you are finding your life so shit, the worst that could happen is they cut you off for not keeping appointments, the best....you get a job and you start improving your life

Im not having a go, I just know where you are at as have been there myself.

I feel your pain on this one here, I was out of a job for 1 year when I was age 21. Now I'm 22 I have a job I think I still have after not being in the job I have after operation. I'm still healing after 1 years & 4 months. It does suck to have no job. Just keep on asking on that job what you want. I rung up like over 5 times to say if there is any job going and they rung me up after one day. Just hold on tight and hoping the best for you.

-Moncler wrote I've applied for so many jobs and I've not heard back from one of them. I'm currently 21, but I just don't seem to be going anywhere. Everything that I used to find entertaining and exciting has become boring. I just really cba anymore. I just really don't know what to do. I know this is a tech website but I just needed to get this off my chest. Has/is anyone else in the same situation as me and how did you over come it? Everything is just shite and with me constantly looking for jobs am basically doing the same routine everyday ie: wake up, go the gym, look for jobs and repeat. Life is pure shite. This topic probably belongs in the rant section.

i had the same problem went and applied for as many jobs as i could in my area dont drive also so it made it even worse, never got a call back from any jobs until i started calling them every week asking if they looked at my application and had any positions open. a few months later i finally got a call back with a job offer because they liked that i had a good work ethnic of calling and asking alot to show i am very interested in the job.. life will get better man..just right now is a tough spot..but hold on i know you can do this!!

Is going back to school an option for you?
Most business nowadays don't hire without qualifications so you might not have an easy time searching without the know how find something you love doing like gym for instance?
if you dropped out of school (which is none of my business) with no grades you can do a one year course for health and leisure in a community college full or part time? If u pass after a year you get a certificate and you can use to to get into a University and then a few years down the line you are qualified to do something you love

Usually if you do not hear back from a job it is because your resume was not sufficient or something like that. Try spicing it up a bit.

Maybe try asking some of your family if they know anywhere hiring or look online also in the meantime a good idea would be to look at working online if that dosent work out for you learn something that could be unique when contesting for a job with other people for example a different language like Spanish or French some jobs need people to fly out to different countries to do business and if you know the language you have a big advantage.
