Ok hey guys, so lately for the past few months during summer i have been looking for a job. I find it hard for myself to get one for some reason and was just wondering if anyone with a job could give me some tips on landing one? Thanks

How old are you if you dont mind me asking? If you are in your late teens (16,17,ect) try getting a job at a local food chain or something, they tend to hire young people.

Most food places or groceries will hire young people still in high school. They work around school very well (they did for me when I was in high school). You should start to look into learning a trade. You can learn a trade and then you have better job opportunities open up to you.

Ex: Automotive/ASE classes, Woodshop, Welding, etc. Majority of these classes should be taught at an average high school. (That is if you're in the states. IDK bout UK.)

I have a few tips on a thread I made, the CV section might help with what you're after.

If you want to know anything more, how to find them and what to look for etc, then just PM me.

Your best option is to apply online if that's what's required (paper application also works). After about 5-6 days after you submitted your application call and ask the manager if they got your application. This will usually bump you up the list and they will read your application first because you called them.

As i already sent one online application to a CVS, should i send another? (its been a few weeks) and than talk with the manager? or should i just follow up on my first application?

Bug them reasonably.

By that I mean do follow ups to show your interested but make sure it is at convenient times.

Example: Don't call a restraunt about an application at lunch time.
