So i did not see any rules about posting this here, But i need to get something off my chest.
I went to gamestop today to trade in some games, Awkwardly i was told that "My account is restricted from doing trades" I said what the F? The manager then informed me i could call the cooperate office to figure out the issue and get the lock removed. So when i got home i immediately called them and spoke with 2 supervisors and 1 manager over them. They all informed me that it is a automated system that locks account and that they basically had no knowledge or information on how it happened. Finally 1 1/2 hours later i finally speak with someone who does not hate there job and actually can provide me with notable information. He first thanked me for my 5 years of business as a power up Pro member, Then told me the accumulated amount i have spent at gamestop in those 5 years, Which was over $13,000. He then goes to tell me that my account is locked forever and that i no longer can do trades...Due to a legal loss prevention policy about trading in a certain amount of items in a given time span. The system took my trades over the last few months as me selling stolen merchandise due to the nature and amounts of items i trade.
I buy xbox one bundles in lots and split the items from them and refurb the systems and sell the left over stuff i don't want to gamestop.
Complete and total trash if you ask me all that time and money invested and they go and pull a joke of a move like this. I will Cease & Desist any business with gamestop from here on out due to this.
Again do not know if i should of posted this hear, But had to get it off my chest!

I think that is total BS on GameStops's part.

They are basically saying "You spent too much money on us so we are gonna ban you from ever trading in your games." They are ASKING that your dont buy their games. smh ee000)

I mean you could go as far as trying to prove that it wasn't stolen merchandise to the higher ups at GS, but honestly idk how far you would get.

Honestly, from a business end this makes sense.

They are just trying to prevent them getting into trouble.
Why are you trading these things into gamestop anyways?
You would make more money selling them yourself.

You said you make a business referbing systems anyways, so it wouldn't be that hard to do.

If I was a game stop employee it would seem odd to me that someone keeps bringing in similar items to trade in on a regular basis.

Other websites offer trade-in services. It's not the end of the world.

This is probably the most dumbest thing I've heard from a business!

The reason i am selling the items to gamestop is irrelevant to this conversation and to you. I never one time stated that " its the end of the world" I was clearly stating the fact that this is BS situation.

See now you are making it look suspicious. Sorry for having an opinion that differed from you.
