I really miss the days when I would come home from school and hop on Halo 2, and then I would switch discs to play on CoD 4! Then a few years later switching between Halo 3 and Modern Warfare 2. I could play one game, and be like, oooo! I want to play this one next! It felt so nice to play games because there was just a flood of good ones! Hopping between Gears of War and CoD. Now all the franchises seem to go downhill
It seems now that there are games that I no longer take interest in or can no longer play for extended periods of time...
Games I used to be able to play:
Halo 2
Halo 3
CoD 4
MW2
Gear of War
Now its so-so with games like:
Minecraft
GTA V
The Last Of Us Remastered
but even those I get bored of incredibly easy!
I don't feel that it's the thing where as you get older you don't enjoy gaming as much because I can play Halo 2 Classic on MCC for 6 hours straight.
All of these games that were promised to be AMAZING, TitanFall, Destiny, Unity, Watch Dogs, Advanced Warfare and some other ones get boring quickly and just aren't the same.
Anyone feel like the last 3 years have had terrible games in them?

I'm not sure, they certainly don't seem as fun anymore I mean I could sit on MW2 or even other games for hours upon end but with AW and all the new games I get bored within an hour. Maybe it is because we're older or just because the games aren't as good.

I wish Gears of War was available on Xbox One.. I would grind Gears of War hours on end! Such an amazing game series. Yeah, but game developers such as Valve just are a bit lazy when it comes to making games anymore. Counter Strike was great too.

Its probably just a mix of getting older and FPS games becoming ridiculously repetitive.

Yeah I would agree, but Im still 16. I feel that at my age (maybe a little younger) is when you find video games the most fun.

I would agree, games these days are over-hyped and do not deliver as much fun as older games did. Like you said Gears of War, i was able to play this game for and day and night buy now i can't even play any game other than League of Legends, Archeage and Call of Duty: Online without wanting to drop dead from boredom.

Swtch the types of games you play, try out 3rd person. Sniper elite, rainbow six, assasins creed. It can really shed a new light on video games. Ive been cod since 1 and its so stale and same with halo.

Yeah I did that. I have played every Assassins Creed game except Brotherhood and they just get boring. I enjoyed Skyrim too and that can be in third person, but after awhile it got boring

I agree most of the games these days just get boaring after playing them for a while but I guess that happens when you get older
I remember there was something on the news section months ago sayinf there could be a gears of war game on the xbox one I'm sure I seen it back a good year now and gears of war is an amazing game series.

I would just suggest leaving it and don't play anything for a long while then when you come back you'll not be as bored. I tried this it worked but got really bored after a short time of playing again.
