I think he deserved at least 10 years in jail, seriously just 5 years for 'accidently' killing his girlfriend.

He shouldn't be punished at all, accidents happen.

You can't just look at it like that. I know someone that is from South Africa and they say that home invasions are common, except the criminals involved put no regard for human life and will kill the innocent civilians even if they get what they want. He didn't have his prosthetic legs on so if it was an intruder then he would not stand a chance.

Yes you do deserve to go to prison at the end of the day you still killed someone, It is illegal to kill someone it doesn't matter in what context. Also what burglar would break into a house and decide oh I'm going to go into the bathroom, because that makes sense.

I agree, 10 years would be fair. 5 years is kinda slim honestly. He gets what he deserves, being behind bars.
