The leader of Syrias most prominent terrorist group, Abu Mohamad al-Golani, in denouncing the US-led air strike campaign, has urged Westerners everywhere to do the same by standing against the decisions of your rulers, otherwise bloodshed would be brought to their soil.

"Muslims will not watch while their sons are bombed. Your leaders will not be the only ones who would pay the price of the war. You will pay the heaviest price," Reuters cited him as saying. He threatened viewers that the fight would be brought to the hearts of your homes.

An Iraqi pilot accidentally dropped aid and ammunition into territory controlled by the Islamic State. They were intended to help government forces in the west of Iraq, but instead the blunder ended up aiding the enemy.

The mistake was confirmed by two Iraqi officials, who said the airdrop of food, water and ammunition was meant to take place in Anbar province. However, the inexperienced pilot got his bearings a little mixed up and unloaded the cargo in the wrong place, according to NBC News.

Turkey will join the US-led fight against terrorist groups in the region, including Islamic State militants, President Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday. At the same time, NATO has promised to defend Turkey if it is attacked.

The country deployed tanks and armored vehicles on its border with Syria earlier this week, following the advance of Islamic State insurgents. As fighting in the region has intensified with the US-led coalition conducting airstrikes against militants in Iraq and Syria, the government has sent a proposal to parliament for further action.

"We will fight effectively against both [Islamic State] and all other terrorist organizations within the region. This will always be our priority," President Erdogan said in his opening speech of the legislative session at the Turkish parliament. "We are open and ready for any cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
