Listen to that MF Doom. It's obvious anyone talking shit about Hip-Hop doesn't listen to good rap/hip-hop and just heard some mainstream BS on the radio about "hoes, money, and selling drugs"

i never listen to rap. If i need "Pumped up" i usually listen to some hard trance or dutch house. Never really understood rap.

I listen to rap for the slick worldplay and the catchiness of the songs. Also for the stories behind the lyrics.

I listen to Notorious BIG, Wu Tang, K Dot, Logic, Freddie Gibbs, Flatbush Zombies, The Underachievers, ScHoolboy Q, Fredo Santana and loads more.

Don't care what people say about my music taste, I like it.

Your joking right? Because it is poetry and alot of them free your mind and escape you and tell stories
You probably listen to rick ross,jay-z, or lil wayne and 2chainz..i'd see why you would wonder but try artists like;
Joey Bada$$
Denzel Curry
Ab-Soul
K-Dot
The Underachievers
Those are new era people like 2010-2014 type
Or old school people like, Nas,MF Doom, KRS One
