i really dont understand what is so good about rap, please explain?

I don't really know. I like a lot of different genres but I guess I listen to some rap for bass or to get me in a pumped up mood to go do stuff like work out. I like to run while I'm listening to rap, my footsteps usually keep up with the beat.

I listen to it socially, if I'm in the car with friends we'll listen to rap.

If I need to get pumped for something, I'll listen to an upbeat, high bass rap song.

A lot of the time I do it for the lyrics, to give me a shiver, to listen to my favorite albums and just listen to the lyrics while I chill out. Some rap is garbage though... look for the underground artists.

I don't listen to Rap at all, I think it's pretty dumb. I prefer Hip Hop.

I love lyricism in songs and Rap just doesn't have any of that. It's all about drugs, money, and girls... basically no intelligence in any song.

nothing good about it todays rap its supposed to be focused on the lyrics and seems like nowadays its all about the instrumental

yea, i listen to rock/metal(A7X, etc.) and country(luke bryan, florida georgia line), they actually sing and use instruments, real talent, not some stupid black guy making up **** as he goes.

Are you kidding me? I think we can all come to conclusion that 2000's pop is absolutely horrible.

You obviously haven't listened to quality rap/hip hop music. Your comment is absolutely dripping with ignorance. The saturation of stupidity is immense. You're thinking of mainstream garbage that only the dumb listen to, unlike underground rappers who are trying to survive, rapping their souls out. Get out of here.

Its all down to the listeners preference. some connect the lyrics more than they would of another genre.


I personally like most genres.
