Recently I had a power failure and when i turned my computer back on the boot took insanely long(10-15 minutes) and still takes around that long every time ive tried to boot since. when windows started back up my desktop was slow such as minimizing/maximizing windows and dragging them around. after switching off visual affects in the performance options the desktop speed was returned however after playing around i noticed that some of my games are in slow motion but others are not.i was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and knows how to fix this or even if its software or hardware.

specs:
intel core i5-4440 processor
8GB DDR3-1600 memory module
AMD Radeon HD 6450
Gigabyte GA-B85-HD3
400 watt psu

Slow Motion Games
Battlefield 3
battlefield 4
Garrys mod

Not Slo Mo Games
Dead Island
GTA IV
Just Cause 2

If theres anything else you need to know post it in the comments thanks

I'm not sure why it would do this at all.
The only thing I can recommend is try re-installing Windows. Of course, only if you're willing to.

I recommend using a Surge Protected socket/extension in future as power failures can actually force components to break.
I'd have a check over your machine to see if anything has gone to bust.

As said above, a power surge may have occurred. I'm assuming your PSU isn't branded at all, so there's a good chance it could've been a power surge. Check over your components to see if there's any burn marks or anything. That power cut might have really damaged your computer.

OT: I wouldn't be running Battlefield and GTA on a 6450...

Have you got the latest drivers for your MoBo/GPU?

if not update them if you have the latest your best bet will be to try re-install windows .

I'm not to sure about this but check your programs and anti viruses etc that you may be running, also clean out your system because maybe that might be the reason.
