He wanted to pull troops out of Afghanistan. They didn't catch him in Afghan. He was caught in Pakistan because of carelessness of Osama's men.

Chain of command dictates who the soldiers listen to. Infantry men aren't taking orders from Obama.

No. Is he the one training them countless hours for Top secret missions? No. Is he the one talking to them while they are in a firefight? No. Is he the one behind a desk and tells 1 person who tells another person who tells another person what the SEALS should do? Yes.

How many movies, and other media has given attention to the previously mostly unknown DEVGRU(SEAL Team 6). Too many to count. The SEALs have been given their props and credit.
