Well here's a fun fact. Mostly everybody in the United States thought the first plane hit was an accident. It wasn't until the second hit that we were sure it was an attack on the United States.....

I mean no one is saying anything about Hurricane Katrina.

I hate when people are stuck in the past.

Well.... Hurricane Katrina was a horrible event in its self. But, in a different context. Katrina was a natural disaster, also something people were alerted on. The 9/11 attacks were sudden, an apparent hatred for our country. It wasn't troops killed. These were regular people, at work. Almost 3,000 innocent, unexpected people, killed because a group of people hate our country. People trapped on top floor, jumping out of windows, waiting for help, all to eventually be smashed by the tons of building... Firemen, police officers, dead, giving their lives to try to save these innocent people. People forget that these were not just building falling. When you actually watch on the street films of the event you really get a sense of how shocking it was. Could you imagine seeing a plane hitting a building, people smacking the pavement because there is no other way out. Seeing a building collapse, with your love one's in it. Almost 3,000 people died in the twin towers alone. That;s almost 3,000 families affected. Seeing you loved ones leave for work in the morning, a regular day, and in a sense watching them die on live television. It is not something that should be forgotten. The past helps us prevent/prepare for things in the future.

You're missing the point, What I'm saying is, having a moment of silence in a school, where there are fellow classmates who have lost family. I'm sure they still have a moment of silence in Louisiana every anniversary. So your statements invalid.
