I'm appalled on how disrespectful not having a moment of silence for 9/11 is. I understand in other countries, and farther away from NY, but not in the tri-state. I've had family and my friends had family who've volunteered and died to rescue (and now have a shortened life due to the asbestos). It's disrespectful when you live near NY(Or the tri-state/PA) and nobody insisted in a moment of silence in the school, it's like, nobody really gave a **** about it.Like come on, there's got to be more than 20 students who have had family there, or lost them.

9/11 will continue to impact our lives in the course of the next 20+ years, there are people who have health issues from volunteering, and there's nobody to even help them, not even the government because you know, screw helping veterans, screw helping volunteers, and screw those who helped save lives, and helped clean the mess of the 9/11 site. Obamas to busy reviewing other countries problems, but yet we've not even fixed our own. I find it DISGUSTING in seeing those who risked their lives the day after 9/11, they were waist deep in ashes, body parts everywhere, thick poisonous dust everywhere, and guess where the dust went? You inhaled it. In the course of the next 20+ years, people will be struggling and dying from the asbestos and dust,Not to even mention how painful mesothelioma/lung cancer is. But who will there be to help? Not the government.

But hey, at least we're still aiding countries like Egypt, and we're acting like world police, yet we can't even handle what's in our country.

to the people who think the government did it: At the end of the day, nearly 3000 people lost their lives, people are continuing to lose their lives even though it's been 12 years, people are dying from lung cancer, dying from the war, dying dying dying.

I agree, this morning at my school... we had a moment a silence that lasted 2 seconds? I wasn't sure how to take it? I felt kinda sick after that.

We were watching videos today at my school and there were kids laughing at the videos and I was just looking at them and I was just in shock that people actually found that funny. It's completely disrespectful.

I mean really come on this is the largest attack in US history and there is not a moment of Silence. that really pisses me off.

When I was in HS I do not even think we did a moment of silence.

I agree, we only had a moment of silence for 2 min, they should make it so there's no school on 9/11 it's a day to always be remembered tho. <3

I totally agree. Today in my English Class, there is this group of girls at this one table that never stands but today we have a war veteran come and speak to us and when he saw that they didn't stand he went off. He told them how disrespectful it was to not stand for something that people have fought for especially on a day like today. I am glad those girls were told. He then told a story about his friend who lost his legs in war and how he can't stand for the pledge yet these girls won't even stand on a day like today. It made me sick.

I just want to let you know that the texas public schools all over the state took a couple moments of silence for those who lost their lives.

I am mad on 2 things on 9/11. The people who are near me (school work etc) who try and talk about it have there facts wrong and or they say its FAKE and never happened? That pisses me off. I also hate how nobody acknowledges what happened in bengazi last year as our president(and his team) let them die and suffer for hours when he knew it was going on. I like how you did acknowledge the people who died by helping clean up I know a few of them. (knew) I am very disappointed in people now a days who do not give a sh*t about them or 9/11 they think its just 1 day but all day every year o this day all I can think about is what happened with the 2 towers, pentagon and shanksville PA and bengazi While my school says bow our heads for 2 seconds for those who died and go on with there day just makes me mad I feel like I might be the only person in my school who is not only a patriot but someone who will not forget who will not forgive and who will not stop caring.
