Hmm, if you can, i would take everything out of the case and try and put together the stuff ontop of a box. Then start it ( if you dont know how google it). If that works then there is a problem with the PC

I did that and it still did the same thing, where the cpu fan start for a split second then stopped and nothing.

Make sure your power source is plugged in totally and in the right spots. Otherwise, refund time.

Seems like you have a short somewhere. Looks like you should return everything and try again

for some reason I just think the PSU isnt powerful enough, could that be the problem or what? because it turns on for a split second then nothing... like powers off as soon as it powers on.

I was thinking that. Because its only 550w, when the GPU uses 500. That only leaves 50w for the rest of the PC. I use 1500w

So i was right from the get go that not enough power for the whole system? I had thought about it when i ordered it but thought 550w was enough.

what if i took everything out of the case, put mobo on a box, hooked the 12v atx cable to the mobo with only cpu in and cpu fan connect to mobo, tried the paperclip trick on the 24 pin connecter, and when i turn psu on it makes a small clicking sound and fan turns on for a split second again but still only on for a split second. nothing else is plugged in.
