my tower also has those where the motherboard goes. i assumed it was so it isn't actually touching the wall

So it'll be fine if I screw my motherboard directly to these? It won't short it out or anything?

them holes are for adding things to it...it wont shout out if you put it loosely on top but it your nail it to the drive then it will make more noise

those are holes for standoffs to be put into. ALWAYS use standoffs, and yes, it is possible to short the board, and guaranteed without them it'll warp. If you don't have enough for the mobo, order some online and don't risk ruining a crucial piece of hardware.
