Thank you for the respect. All the people who hate are obviously lonely.

Way to bump your dying thread... twice?
Anyway, it all comes down to your budget and how you want to edit the clips after recording.

Im with him having the pvr for 2 years now the elgato i will recommend the elgato to anyone. Now half of you have never used the elgato and so you cant talk shit and neither can anyone about the pvr both great devices. now i prefer the elgato for its small size now with the livestreaming, live commentary feature it makes it a better device then it used to be. Now i use audacity to do live coms and sony vegas for everything else so its not that much of a problem with the quality cause i can fix that in both programs but with the elgato being cheaper, smaller, pretty simple to use i would prefer it. Not saying the pvr is bad because it is a great device but just by personal preference the elgato is a better device so stop talking shit about each others devices and agree that they are both amazing.

ohBonzai wrote Well,

Simple question: Have you done research? Well I have.

I myself am getting an Elgato Game Capture HD for the holidays.

HD PVR Specifications:
5 Cables
Huge Box
Hard to use set-up
Software not as easy
No flashback recording for spectacular CoD Moments.

Elgato Specifications:
Nice and Small
2 Cables
Live Commentary Ability with New Beta Software
Up to 1080i quality
Flashback recording, hit an amazing shot? weren't recording, Elgato has it!
Elgato doesn't have black bars

Maybe this will change your mind.

hd pvr =

not a big box
extra light
very easy to set up!:L
and whats not easy about clicking a button to record?
