Details: I tend to do alot of recording and editing for projects which takes alot of rendering so it would be nice if the PC could render movies fairly fast. Will be running multiple programs/software at the same time. E.g. - Song Vegas, After Effects, Chrome etc. So it needs to be able to handle that.

For 1080p even this is spending too much right now, but it will stave off the need to upgrade for years in the future. The 7970 is a much better buy than the 680 and there's no sense in buying anything more expensive for gaming at 1080p. The power supple will allow a second card to be added, but that will probably not be necesary. What is your monitor setup? There's a lot more left of that 1,500 GBP. Also no ned for benchmarks, it does everything perfectly.

I cannot recommend 16 GB of RAM because it's not worth it, particularly in this build. Otherwise, I was able to fit a lot of awesome hardware in a very tight budget!
