1.What motherboard: Xenon
2.RGH or Jtag: JTAG
3. What seems to be the problem ? Name anything recent that you have done to you console recently (update nands, etc): Did nothing the console wont boot it gives me just a E79 error

4. What physical errors are you seeing (2/3 RROD, RGH not booting, RGH booting slowly, Jtag getting E79,etc): E79 error it must be something with the inside i found this on a other forum but i dont understand anything there with the fixes
Known fixes:

1) Replace your harddrive.
2) If you know it isnt the harddrive try the Southbridge X-Clamp Fix or Reflow the Southbridge
3) Check JTAG wiring! Especially the diodes they MUST face the correct direction - Away from J2D2.

Description:

This error occurs when your harddrive is defective, it might still work sometimes....
There is also a small chance that it is a cold joint under the Southbridge causing problems with the I/O of the HDD.
It can also be related to wiring the diodes while JTAGGING.
Couldn't start xam.xex

5. Do you have your OG Nand ? : no

Make sure the diodes aren't making contact with one another where they cross.

You probably have a badflash, you could try to puting a previously working updflash.bin from your console on to a usb and pressing the eject button to boot xell or your going to need an external nand re-flash you can only do this with a flashing tool(nand-x, etc.) that requires soldering to the motherboard. If the first method doesn't work you could message me on AIM: x64Architecture and I could reflash it for you.

I made you a short video to explain.

I currently bought the JTAG from (The Tech Game - JTAG-GALORE) last year it was working fine for a month then it just died as shown in the video. I updated all my dashboards and everything was working fine then I turned the console of and nothing came back on I tried everything I have a new computer so I'v lost all my back up files such as flash.bin and everything Xell won't boot or anything I need a fix help would be great i'm pretty sure it don't need a re flow or anything i'm a noob at this stuff but all the help you can give me will mean a lot.

Hi all, so a little background: I haven't touched my jtag in a couple years but decided to get it going again. I spent the last few days getting the latest software (xell reloaded, dashlaunch, fsd, emulators, etc.) installed. Yesterday I finally was close to what I wanted my finished jtag to be, I just wanted to add a few more games for mupen64 and clean up some files (it was working perfectly), so

I booted into fsd. added some more roms through ftp, and deleted an extra copy of mupen64 I accidently had on my internal hdd. I booted up dash launch, and attempted to launch mupen64's xenon.elf as i had previously done to play. It flashed up for a second I believe than the screen went fuzzy. On bootup I get an E74 now (Xbox wasn't particularly hot or anything, happened directly after trying to launch xenon.elf for mupen).

I can run Xell reloaded( which I understand is pretty normal with an E74) and have tried to reflash my nand through usb. (fat32 formatted, tried naming it updflash.vin and nandflash.bin neither worked, also tried with rawflash v4 with no succes.)

It seems that Xell recognizes the usb as there is a line about it but never updates with the new nand (really my orig nand before e74 built with xebuild) for some reason. Xell hangss on " fat mount uda0". I know this is a known issue and I could remove my disc tray to get it not to hang there, but will that actually get xell to update?

My current ideas right now are to try to update flash with xell through cd. But I dont even know if reflashing the nand will help or if it will update with a cd. Any help, ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Im at university and dont really have the tools to reball/ reflow. If all else fails Im going to try reflashing with lpt cable but that is a last resort because I dont have a computer with the port right now. Thanks for your time!

Edit: Xenon motherboard, Jtagged. Yes I have my OG Nand
