And I'm getting antsy about the Silverados. Their new pads seem interesting. I'd love if the "improved foam" ended up being incredibly comfy memory foam pads. That should also improve bass quantity.

Are those the ones in this picture?

I'm definitely seeing two types of pads on the Silverado.

Yeah those Denon-esque ones instead of the cheaper looking ones. It's pretty cool!

My PRO900 just arrived. Great cans.

Speaking of Beats, the SRH240, which came years before the Beats looks suspiciously similar.

Something worth adding to the OP

This is brilliant. It's going in there when I update this ugly topic sometime soon for its birthday.

And I knew I couldn't be the only one who noticed that! Where's the lawsuit?

Reminds me more of the Souls, actually.

Though in terms of build and materials, I think it surpasses both the Beats and the Souls. Just the fact that it doesn't have hinges already gives it a +1 over the Studios. The pleather-padded headband helps too. If there was a cord coming out of only one side then I'd think it's a decent headphone design. It was their low-end 'phone though, so sound would probably be meh.

Just wish that it'd be a more dull-looking and textured plastic. That shiny crap is irritating.

Yeah, those cables don't exactly exude quality, but I think they're nice-looking despite them and the glossy finish. The Souls look like these, but morbidly obese, haha.

Yeah I tend to do that a lot. Nasty habit, I know.

We can fix that with sandpaper.

And I think the Studios were released before the Shures. I remember the Shures were released in like summer 2009 (I remember all the hype the SRH840 built on HF while the 240's were largely ignored), and the Studios were released in 2008. Jude tried to hype them up: [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

PC gaming? I don't recommend Xbox or PS3 gaming headphones unless there's a Mixamp involved.
