-Twizzle- wrote are the dre beats good??
thinkin about gettin some.

Frankly, no. People will tell you they are good, but they obviously have never heard other headphones. They would be good if the Studios were $100, the Pros were $150, and the iBeats were $50, but that is not the case. For what you pay, you can get MUCH better sound quality and build quality.

What's your budget and what are your preferences?

Your budget - 0-150 pounds

Which genres you'll be listening to - Mostly; Rap, Dubstep, Hiphop, RnB And so on..z

What kind you want - Over ear

Open headphones

What you are listening from - Desktop, Phone, Decks.

Note, I had the In ear beats Infact I still have them here, They are getting old and I need a upgrade, I was thinking about getting the over ear beats but I would love a suggestion from you.

Aiaiai TMA-1! They have the same bassy sound signature as the Beats, but destroy them in terms of sound and build quality, especially the Solos. They're really great looking and have DJ friendly features.

If you want a more balanced, neutral headphone, the Sennheiser HD 25-1 (II) is what you're after. It is an iconic DJ headphone used by tons of artists and can be found pretty cheap. The features are great and include a removable cable and a modular design. If you can find Sennheiser HD 25-13s, which need to be amped, you'll get even better sound quality due to higher impedence drivers.

Under 50 on-ear will always be the Koss Portapro. There is nothing better in that price range.

Lifetime warranty, incredible sound, and great design. You can often find them cheaper. I got mine off Amazon for 25 awhile back.

Greetings friends,
I would like to offer another Koss offering into the fray: the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . These actually use an identical driver to the PortaPro, but are in a different form factor (and they are dirt cheap).
TL;DR, These headphones sound good, are cheap.

Happy hunting,

r00t_b33r wrote To help me find out what is best for you, please post these things:

Your budget (make sure you tell me what currency!)

Which genres you'll be listening to.

What kind you want (over-ear, on-ear, in-ear, no preference, etc.) and whether you want portability.

Whether you want open or closed headphones (open allows other people to hear at high volumes and some improvements, closed headphones do not leak sound as much and are slightly limited in some ways).

What you are listening from (iPod, phone, desktop computer, laptop, console, turntable, etc.).

I'll respond to you as quickly as I can, and I would much prefer you post in this topic as opposed to PMing me.

Keep in mind that the budget will include any amplifier or digital-analog converter (DAC) necessary.

Ummmm... King Kong by Bare & Datsik? Should show off the focal points of those headphones. You also want to consider using a high-bitrate MP3, preferably 320 kbps.

I don't know exactly what you need, so it's actually better for you to decide for yourself. I don't know whether you want to use iTunes, have huge capacity, etc. I just advise you stay away from iPods. This guide on ABI can help.

Greetings friends,
I think that you will find [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] to be the ultimate bass-heavy track. For something more enjoyable as a song, try Bassnectar & Datsik's [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] or maybe, Dead Prez's [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] .

Happy listening,
