Ishcabible wrote You seem to be able to go over budget, so the Audio Technica ES10 should be within your reach. The Sennheiser HD25 works too. Or you could buy the most expensive Grado you can afford.
Ohay. This was post number 1337. Yus.

I wish I could recommend the Head Direct RE0, but I've decided I can't anymore. The build quality is so poor and the problems are so many. In terms of sound, they're unbeatable at their price point, especially for rock. If you are willing to take the risk, that's up to you. Instead, I'd suggest you look elsewhere.
Elsewhere being the Spider "Realvoice." It competes with the RE0 sound and is built much better. These should also be great for metal.

Spider makes some nice stuff; I have their lower end RealVoice IEM's and they're fantastic with metal. There's also the MEElectronics CC51.

That's kind of redundant. But it's more a matter of sound quality than anything. Don't feel like putting up the ~$10 for a good pair of IEMs like the Monoprice 8320 or the Xeport 5010s?
