Tesla and those that follow their lead, yea. Just like cell phones and laptops, these cars will be cheaper over time. Self-driving, electric cars will most likely be the standard at some point.

The problem with current electrical cars is the price. Here in germany you get a bonus if you drive a emission free car but thats minor.
Once they make cars like this affordable for the general public i might get one. Just to contribute not damaging the planet anymore as we do

I love the idea of an Electric car which travels at the same speeds as your ordinary Petrol & Diesel car..

The only negative thing i have towards Tesla is the Body shape / Design of their cars.. I just feel like their holding back and could be so much more.

I'd love for electric cars to be the future, preferably an even more energy efficient car like air somehow would be cool and I agree with Super, once the prices go down I'd want to buy one but at the moment the prices make it seem like it's a bad way to go.

BMW i3, Chevy Spark, Ford Focus (electric), Honda Fit EV, Kia Soul EV, Nissan Leaf, and a few others are fairly priced electric cars but I'm not sure if you can get them in Germany. The i3, Spark and Leaf seem to be pretty popular in the US

I do agree with you, the designs are not very spectacular but I believe in time they will be.

That would be really neat, maybe in the far future something like that will be possible. I am hoping in time they will continue to drop, I would love to have one.

I don't mind Tesla design, in fact I think the older ones are pretty nice (before they got rid of the grill) but they need to do some improving. Their $135k Tesla Model S P100D looks the exact same as the $70k Tesla Model S 75. On the outside the only difference is the badge that says P100D or 75.

It does make sense in that they only create 1 style body so they are cheaper to manufacture and in turn would make it cheaper to insure. Basically for the outside you pick your wheels and color and that's it. If I were to spend $135k on a car, I'd personally want it to look better or at the very least different than the car worth half as much as I paid.
