Here we go, I hate to even look at the media and listen to politicians talk about how they're going to do this and that only to get votes, but I clicked onto internet explorer to see a headline of "Hillary Clinton planning raise minimum wage to 12$" and, I let Bernie sanders "Raising minimum wage to 15$" slide for a while because he's one of the better democratic candidates. BUT I MEAN COME ON all raising minimum wage does is create inflation. PEOPLE WHO FLIP BURGERS AT MCDONALDS SHOULD NOT BE GETTING PAID 12$ AN HOUR. I mean come on. You don't need to go to school to work at mcdonalds, no qualifications, no background, no nothing, but 12$?!? That's going to raise the poverty line to 30,000. It's currently at ~22-24,000 depending on your geographical location in the united states. Kids who have graduated college are barely making their way making 15$ an hour now with a college degree and living at their parents house paying off student loans which is another rant for a different day (College is a rip off).

Okay, i'm going to include another rant in here too. People who can vote please, please look at your congressmen/women! I mean come on! The president is a puppet to congress, without the support of congress the president can't do anything (In the case of our last president). Where he has to use presidential vetoes to get anything done but, vetoes are frowned upon in society because it's seen as an abuse of power. YET, people let congress raise their own wage, pork-barrel things on to bills that they have no business being on, and among other things they do. Our congress is the most corrupt thing in the United states. They are the reason we are in debt and the reason everyone owes China 40,000$ of your money and your childrens, childrens money.

Okay, lets do some math here. Back to my original rant about minimum wage. Lets say minimum wage is 12$ an hour, and an average work week is 40 hours.
12$x40 hours=480$ a week, 480$x52 weeks= 24,960$. That's Poverty level.
Lets go with ol' bern sanders 15$, 15$x40 hours=600$ 600$ a weekx52 weeks= 31200$, 8-10000$ over poverty level. With the amount of money being introduced in to the economy and every one thinking they can buy anything they want prices of common items are going to rise. Milk, eggs, bread, meat etc. the things that most everyone buys on a daily week. So in turn raising the minimum wage is going to create inflation, inflation is going to lead to another depression. Just like the one in the 20's-30's and 2006-2010 and, probably even worse then that. It's absolutely ridiculous that adults who do a job meant for part-time high school students is going to make as much money as someone protecting the country in the military(and even more then them) and someone who went to college to 4-8 years to get a job that only pays 15-20$ an hour and they're 100,000$+ in debt.
Now, I understand that they need to support a family, and that's the only argument you could possibly have. But IT'S NOT GOING TO HELP THE SITUATION. It's just going to put us further in debt and the value of the dollar is going to decrease. Again.

Well, i'll probably post my rant about how college is nothing more than a business in another post because it's getting pretty late.

I usually don't post on here anymore but this was really grinding my gears and I had to get it off my chest. Tl;dr Raising minimum wage is stupid as hell because it'll only cause inflation which will lead to depression and the demise of our country. Congress is corrupt as all hell, and we need to pay more attention to them instead of a our congressmen. College is nothing more then a business. People who flip burgers shouldn't be getting 12-15$ an hour.
