DFC wrote It doesn't matter, All I want to know is if my PS4 will work alright with it...

I don't want separate screens for my PC and console.

It will not look any better, and your PS4 will have a VERY hard time trying to run it.

I suggest a 1080p IPS.

it will work. it will output 1080p 60fps if you use 1.4 hdmi.

If you not running atleast sli 970s then a 1440p monitor would make more sense.

Nobody seems to understand the question...

HDMI 1.4 is limited to 4k @ 30 Hz by bandwidth. Since the console will output 1080p, this bandwidth cap is not an issue and you should get 1080p @ 60 Hz. One pixel of the 1080p image will be scaled up to take up four pixels of a 4k image.

A 4k panel is obviously a waste of money if you're not going to run it at native resolution, but it will still work and look nice. The image won't be "stretched," it will be upscaled by the TV.

EDIT: Merged with an identical thread you posted. Someone already gave you the correct answer. Please don't make more than one of the same post.

Thanks, that's all I wanted to know!

I don't need suggestions on what monitor to buy. I can get a cheap deal on a good 4k monitor.

Out of interest will the PS4 look okay on a 1440p monitor, as this is also an option for me?
