I am thinking of buying a 4K monitor. This is not primarily for my PS$ before anyone says games aren't supported at 4K.

I want to know if it would display alright on the monitor.

I think it will stretch the 1080p and everything will look okay. However HDMI only supports 4k at 30Hz. So I'm wondering if, because it is technically 1080p being stretched, will it still display at 60Hz over HDMI 1.4 on my 4K screen.

Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

The monitor will scale down to the resolution requested by the PS4, so you will be playing at 1080 at 60fps

a 4K Monitor cannot be powered and play games by a PS4 if you want to even see 20FPS.

Getting a high res monitor will not give you a better picture if you cannot run it.

complete waste of money.

Just get your self a nice 1080p monitor.

Is it primarily for your console or do you also have a good pc?

It is primarily for my high spec PC.

Also it is only 30Hz through an HDMI 1.4 cable

It can run 60Hz through HDMI 2.0 PS4 only has 1.4 connection though.

How is it a complete waste of money when I have a PC that can run it and have already stated its not primarily for my PS4

It doesn't matter, All I want to know is if my PS4 will work alright with it...

I don't want separate screens for my PC and console.
